I’m originally from Manila, but life had other plans for me. At 22, I landed in NYC to work at the United Nations. A few years later, I found myself in the world of luxury hotels, where I met my chef husband. Since then, we’ve been on a global adventure – New York, Vancouver, Manila, Philadelphia, Anguilla, Miami, and now Houston. Oh, and somewhere along the way, we added two mini-mes to our crew!
Fitness has always been my thing – from college soccer to 90s step aerobics, to being a total gym rat (ever flipped an 18-wheeler tire? Yep, that was me), and now my current Pilates obsession. But even with all that activity, perimenopause hit me like a train.
Chronic pain, night sweats, mood swings, hair loss, craziness…you name it, I had it. I tried everything from fancy probiotics to sleeping on the floor (yes, really). Sound familiar to anyone?
It took a brutally honest friend to wake me up. She gave tough love (which is actually my cup of tea) and told me that I couldn’t be the wife, mom, and business owner I wanted to be if I kept living like that.
That was my lightbulb moment.
Now, I’m a nutrition coach on a mission to help other women navigate this crazy rollercoaster we call perimenopause.
But here’s what I really believe: women of any age, in any chapter of life, should feel amazing in their own skin.
Whether it’s rocking a bikini, slipping into those tight jeans, or wearing a slinky top for date night or girls’ night out – you deserve to feel confident and fabulous!
And let’s be clear: I’m all about balance, not restriction. No all-or-nothing approach here! Yes, you can have your cake and enjoy a glass of champagne too. If it fits your macros, why not? Life’s too short for boring food and flat drinks. I believe in enjoying life’s pleasures while still taking care of your health.
When I’m not geeking out over nutrition research or binging my latest podcast obsession (total podcast junkie here!), you’ll find me at the thrift store, watching another crime documentary on Netflix, mixing up craft cocktails, or killing plants (oops).
So, what can you expect here?
